Craftsy LogoHitting the Mark: Perfect Quilting Every Time

Don't you hate it when a pattern says, "Quilt as desired"? Me, too. In this class I share ideas for planning your quilting designs and for marking them on your quilt top. I share lots of techniques including using different types of markers, tools, and (my favorite) paper. I cover filler patterns as well as focus designs, and I share lots of examples. The class materials include quilting designs that you can use in your work. While there's a lot of material for the beginner quilter, this is class is also appropriate for intermediate quilters.

Craftsy LogoMaster Your Machine: Secrets for Beginner Quilters

In this class, I help you turn your sewing machine into your most valuable tool. I guide you step-by-step through setup, operating, and troubleshooting. We'll go beyond the default settings and explore our many presser foot options -- including the mighty walking foot. The class materials include lots of extra tips that I couldn't fit into our time limitations. This class is appropriate for beginners and for quilters and sewists who think they might have missed something along the way.

Craftsy LogoQuick & Delicious: Make the Most of Your Blender
with Nicki Sizemore

My husband and I have had a Vitamix for years and years. We use it every morning to make smoothies, but we haven't taken it much further until we watched this class. Most of the class applies to blenders in general -- smoothies, soups, sauces, jam, breadcrumbs, nut milk -- but Lesson 7 features recipes and techniques designed just for the Vitamix. The tomato bisque was amazing!

Craftsy Logo Innovative Openwork Scarves with Cornelia Tuttle Hamilton

I have a love/hate relationship with knitting. I love the act of knitting, but I don't usually like the available patterns enough to develop skills and so I never really improve. Well, this class has my attention. I LOVE the geometric nature of the designs and her use of colors in the samples. Cornelia's demonstrations are clear and easy to follow. I may actually make these beautiful projects.

Craftsy Logo Custom-Fit Slipcovers: Couches & Sofas
with Kim Chagnon
We have a chair in our living room that I have loved to death. The fabric is funky, the shape is curvy, and it the most comfortable seat in the house. I was afraid it might be nearing the end of its useful life, but now I'm feeling brave enough to slipcover it. Thanks to Kim's straightforward methods with NO PATTERNS, I may have to go fabric shopping to give this chair new life.
